Service Preview – Sunday, October 21

Joe Flahive taught from 1 Corinthians 1:18-31 this past week. He helped us to consider the implications of how we ought to live in light of the truth that God’s chief end in redeeming sinners is his own glory. If you were unable to join us, you can still listen to the message by clicking here:

This Sunday, Keston Smith will be joining us from High Pointe Baptist Church. Keston is a native of Trinidad and Tobago and has been a member at High Pointe Baptist Church since April, 2017. Prior to joining High Pointe, he served in youth/young adult leadership for a three year period at his local church in Trinidad. In 2013, he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from ST. Edward’s University  in Austin, TX. He is married to his wife Siobhan and they are expecting their first child in January 2019. His ministry aspiration is to be a pastor.

Keston will be preaching from 1 John 3:1-3. From Keston: “In this text, we will explore the basis and sure expectation of the Christian hope, which produces sanctified living in this present world.”

As we look ahead to Sunday, let us take time to prayerfully read through the preaching text in preparation for corporate worship.
